"If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story."
—Orson Welles
About The Screenwriter's Salon:
The Screenwriter's Salon is an informal script reading and forum designed to help filmmakers in the process of crafting a great screenplay. Essentially a development vehicle, we offer screenwriters a venue to workshop their work: to hear their scripts read by actors and to get audience feedback from the discussion that follows.
The Screenwriter's Salon focuses on completed scripts and works-in-progress geared towards production. We work with the filmmaker to prepare their script for the live reading, moderate the discussion, and help connect filmmakers to actors for the reading. We encourage the audience to listen critically to the performance and to participate constructively in the Salon discussion.
The Screenwriter's Salon is held the third Thursday every other month at Brookline's Coolidge Corner Theater. Doors open at 7:00pm. Tickets are $7.50.
